One solution for our planet

We take responsibility for our environment. To counteract climate change we continuously establish Clean Forest Parks in Switzerland and abroad. The basis of our parks are the Helsinki Forest Criteria (1993). The Helsinki Forest Criteria is used for the assessment of sustainable forest management in Europe.

Second Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe Helsinki/Finland

This pan-European set of indicators was the basis for the first national indicator sets. In order to meet new requirements in data collection and to cover additional topics the indicators have been revised during 2001 and 2002 and since then form the basis for the State of Europe's Forest Report and national indicator sets.

In each of our Clean Forest Parks, signs have been set up to inform about the problems of climate change and how creating and preserving forests is a valuable solution.

In addition to our own Clean Forest Parks, we support several reforestation projects worldwide.
